Mothica's latest album tapped into the angst and nostalgia of adolescence with songs and lyrics that resonated deeply with fans. The album's cover art and music video take place in Mothica's teenage bedroom, covered in emo band posters, instruments, and notebooks that inspired the new music. To immerse fans in this world, we teamed up with Rise Records to re-create the bedroom in an interactive 3D web experience. Fans were asked to pre-save with Spotify or Apple Music to enter the site, which then allowed them to explore the bedroom freely. Clickable items including and old-school iPod, Sidekick cell phone, and hidden easter eggs from the new album invited fans to return to the site and discover new items. Throughout the campaign, new items would unlock music videos, tour dates, and merch items to help build buzz and anticipation leading up to the final release.
