2024 marked the 25th anniversary of legendary metal band, Sabaton, with a full campaign celebrating the band's music. Lyrical content, album art, and overall lore surrounding the band draws on stories and imagery from historic battles and military heroes. To draw fans into this world, we created an interactive experience that put them at the center of the action. The 3D, immersive world invited fans to freely explore from a first person perspective through a hero's journey. Fans were challenged with completing a series of missions including band trivia to diffuse a bomb, decoding radio transmissions, and guiding a tank through mines and obstacles. Our custom Spotify and Apple Music integration streamed the band's entire catalog as the soundtrack to the experience. Fans that completed all missions were automatically entered to a prize drawing full Sabaton music, swag, and gear.
